Abstract:
Conformal field theories (CFT) play an important role in our understanding of quantum field theories in general, and description of critical phenomena and physics beyond the Standard Model. In this talk I will introduce a semi-classical approach to computing CFT data that has been developed in recent years, with an emphasis on its novel application to theories with non-Abelian global symmetries and/or complex fixed points.
About the speaker:
Dr. Chen Zhang received his PhD in Theoretical Physics in 2017 from Peking University. Later he held a postdoctoral research fellowship in National Center for Theoretical Sciences, Taiwan (2017-2020). Then he moved to INFN Florence in Italy and working as a postdoctoral research fellow.
